Group Finance Assistant (Accounts Payable)

We have an opportunity for a Group Finance Assistant (Accounts Payable) to join the team at Crest Hotels based at Arnos Manor Hotel, Bristol. This is a new role to support our growth and commitment to creating a great experience for our colleagues from the very first contact through the years.

The Role of Group Finance Assistant (Accounts Payable)

The Group Finance Assistant will manage the company’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. The Group Finance Assistant will perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.

An eye for detail, motivated, organised, empathetic, time management, problem solver are all attributes that the successful candidate requires. As a new role this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be able to take ownership and making them indispensable to an organization’s fiscal fitness.

The role of Group Finance Assistant will report to the Director of Finance & Systems and is ideal for someone who has strong demonstratable experience in a Finance role in Hospitality who is AAT Level 3 trained and ideally experience of Xero and experience of working across a group.

Cook opportunity at Arnos Manor Hotel a great opportunity for a passionate Cook to join the team on a part time basis at this wonderful property.

Arnos Manor Hotel has 73 bedrooms, our Cook will ensure they are prepped and ready to provide a quality well-presented food offering from our A la carte menu.

Our Cook will ensure that there is a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and that they ensure compliance with food standards.

Our Cook will have passion and commitment to quality, show team work with our guest service team, have previous experience as a commis / or production chef. Banqueting experience would be advantageous. Our Cook will cater 10-20 dishes on average per shift.

The Role:

· To prepare and deliver dishes from the menu

· To ensure all food hygiene and health & safety standards are adhered to.

· You will have a passion for quality and service, have exceptional organisational skills and be able to work using your own initiative.

This is an ideal role for someone with previous cook experience with an eye for detail

Arnos Manor Hotel is a unique and historic venue, boasting versatile meeting and conference facilities for up to 200 delegates. As we continue our journey of growth, we are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team.

About the Role:

The Maintenance Assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining the hotel’s overall appearance, safety, and functionality. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position is vital in ensuring that our guests enjoy a memorable and safe experience throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities include:

Carrying out general maintenance duties around the hotel, ensuring that all areas remain fully functional and in good condition.

Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and health & safety regulations to guarantee a secure environment for guests and staff.

Providing timely and efficient repair services, including basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work, as needed.

Building strong relationships with guests and colleagues to ensure smooth communication and service delivery.

Supporting the delivery of excellent guest service by ensuring the hotel remains in top condition, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally within the hospitality or facilities sector.

A good working knowledge of plumbing, with the ability to perform minor repairs and adjustments as necessary (subject to experience).

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

A proactive and hands-on approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues.

Great communication skills, with the ability to engage with colleagues and guests in a professional and friendly manner.

Job Title: Hotel Night Porter

Location: Arnos Manor Hotel, Bristol

Hours: 32-40 hours per week, shift pattern: 4 nights on, 4 nights off

Contract: Permanent (Part-time options available: 16hrs + 16hrs)

Shift: 11 PM – 7 AM

As a Hotel Night Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and overall experience of our guests during the night.
