Arnos Manor Hotel has 73 bedrooms and unique meeting and event space for 200 delegates, with the flexibility to cater for any kind of event. We have an opportunity for a Head receptionist to join the team at Arnos Manor Hotel. The Head receptionist will play a central role in ensuring that all of our guests have a memorable experience and leave with a smile.

The Role of Head receptionist

The Head receptionist will be responsible for the front office operation and team, they will manage any group bookings and ensure a warm welcome for all guests. The Head receptionist will lead the team to ensure that all standards are maintained, colleagues are trained and working safely at all times whilst delivering that exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences. Fantastic organisation, communication, problem solving and being adaptable are attributes required in the role.

An eye for detail and for delivering memorable guest experiences for our guests make this a lovely role for someone who wants to have a real impact on our guest experience. The role is a hands on role for someone who can lead a team to strive for excellence.

The Head receptionist will be an experienced front office supervisor looking for the next step in their career, with the guidance of a supportive General Manager and personal drive and passion to develop, we will help you grow and develop.

The role of Head receptionist will report to the General Manager and is ideal for someone who has strong demonstratable experience in hotel Front Office. It is a perfect opportunity for someone who would like to take the next step in their career.

£27,000 per annum

“`Duties“`
– Oversee the daily operations of the front office department
– Ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes for guests
– Manage guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
– Train and supervise front desk staff to provide exceptional customer service
– Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and resolve any issues
– Maintain accurate records of room availability and guest accounts
– Handle cash transactions and maintain a balanced cash drawer
– Assist with reservations and manage room inventory
– Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area

“`Requirements“`
– Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred
– Bilingual skills (English and another language) are highly desirable
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
– Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of hotel management software systems
– Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
– Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills
– Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
