Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
  • Overseeing daily operations and acting as shift leader in the kitchen.
  • Assisting the Head Chef with purchasing, stock control, rostering, and training.
  • Managing food costs and maintaining high standards in food preparation.
  • Ensuring full compliance with health and safety standards, including H&S, HACCP, COSHH, and Manual Handling.
  • Reporting maintenance issues and supporting the overall smooth running of the kitchen.

Avisford Park Hotel has 140 bedrooms with meeting and event space for 200 delegates, with the flexibility to cater for any kind of event. We have an opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join the team at Avisford Park Hotel as we expand the team.

The Role of Kitchen Porter

The Kitchen Porter will be responsible for ensuring a clean kitchen. The Kitchen Porter will ensure that all standards are maintained, colleagues work collaboratively and safely at all times. The Kitchen Porter will support the chef brigade and have the opportunity to develop some basic kitchen skills. The role also supports with putting deliveries away so fantastic organisation and being adaptable are attributes required in the role.

The role is a hands on role for someone who is flexible and would enjoy supporting the delivery of a great food experience.

The Kitchen Porter will ideally be experienced in a kitchen environment however if you have the drive and want to learn the role, we will help you develop and grow skills.

We have an opportunity for a Receptionist to join the team at Avisford Park Hotel. The Receptionist will ensure a warm welcome to all our guests. Crest Hotels mission is to give every guest a memorable experience and leave with a smile, the Receptionist is the beginning and end of our guest experience.

The Role of Receptionist

The Receptionist will be responsible for a warm welcome with an efficient check-in and check-out, providing information to our guests. As the heart of the hotel the Reception team communicate with other departments and ensure information is shared for a great guest experience. The reception team ensure phones are answered, queries addressed, and that personal information is processed as required and stored securely.

An eye for detail, motivated, organised, time management, problem solver are all attributes that the successful candidate requires. Ideally the successful candidate will have hotel and Rez Control experience. The role of Receptionist will report to the Reception Manager, the role is on a shift rota basis with 5 days from 7 to include evenings and weekends.

– Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and provide information to callers

– Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages
– Maintain a clean and organized reception area
– Provide general administrative support to staff as needed
